CARLO ANCELOTTI would be attempted to manage Italy unless a top Premier League came calling first, according to reports in his homeland.
The Azzurri are expected to be in the hunt for a new man in the dug-out with Gian Piero Ventura likely to quit following their humiliating failure to qualify for the World Cup.

First of all, the three-time Champions League-winning boss is desperate for a return to the Premier League. And the article claims he has had initial contacts from Chelsea and Arsenal. However, more importantly, he wants a complete overhaul of the national set-up.
Before even considering the offer, Ancelotti needs to see an end to outdated ideas, and new, progressive personnel introduced. Money wouldn't be a sticking point as the former Real Madrid manager is well aware they would not be able to match what club sides could offer, but he is still willing to talk.
Should they fail to reach an agreement with Ancelotti, there other candidates are available. Massimiliano Allegri may be keen to leave Juventus in the summer, and would likely welcome the possibility of following his predecessor Antonio Conte into managing his country.
The current Blues boss is another, though much more complicated, option.
While Ancelotti's fellow Premier League-winner Robert Mancini, who is currently at Zenit St. Petersburg, is also high on the list.
