David De Gea refusing to agitate for a move to Real Madrid

DAVID DE GEA will refuse to agitate for a move to Real Madrid – and put the ball in the Spanish giants’ court.
The European champions are long-term admirers of De Gea and have a history of publicly courting players.
David De Gea will not push for a Real Madrid move if the club come calling yet again
But De Gea, 27, is ready to resist any charm offensive from the Spaniard’s, according to sources close to the Manchester United keeper.
After arriving from Atletico Madrid six years ago, De Gea feels loyalty to United and particularly their fans.
He was on the brink of leaving for the Bernabeu in 2015 but the paperwork was not completed on time.
That came after a summer of Real publicly attempting to lure De Gea, with Sergio Ramos among their players to talk about his Spain team-mate’s qualities. Zinedine Zidane’s team are currently looking for a long-term successor to Keylor Navas and have De Gea among the keepers in their sights.
They are also keen on Thibaut Courtois, who looks easier to get as his contract runs out at the end of next season. De Gea’s current terms also expire in 2019 but United have an option to extend it by a year, which is in their favour to trigger.
The ex-Atletico star is also understood to be enjoying his football more under Jose Mourinho than during Louis van Gaal’s reign. He has spoken about the period at the start of his Old Trafford career when he had to adapt quickly, which was the start of his positive relationship with fans.
He said: “It was really difficult for me at the beginning, not just with football, with life and everything, the weather and the language, but step by step I kept my focus on football, trying to improve, and going to the gym to improve my body.
“Now I am really happy here, stronger as a goalkeeper and as a person, everything.”
