Dortmund wants to keep Aubameyang

Aubameyang
Europe's big guns are lining up for Gabon star Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, and his club are ready to stave them off.
Borussia Dortmund say they are ready to ‘fight tooth and nail’ to keep him. CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke is wary of the attention his free-scoring African star is getting after netting 22 goals so far this season.
The player's fine form has seen the January transfer window become a big deal, because any slack moves may see BVB lose him. "We will fight tooth and nail for every single star player of our club,” Watzke told Kicker. “And we are definitely able to compete financially."
Other hotshots Dortmund will struggle to keep include Mats Hummels, Ilkay Gundogan, Marko Reus and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
The CEO said, "Some players of our club were out to leave us, however in the end all of them stayed at our club! We have very much to offer as a club and we have our eyes fully on the progress of our players' careers."
“These days we are able to offer double what we were able to offer in wages back in 2011 when we won Bundesliga."
Dortmund are angling to take the Bundesliga away from Bayern Munich this term.
