MANCHESTER UNITED starlet Angel Gomes is being eyed in a shock swoop by Borussia Dortmund.
SunSport understands the 17-year-old is stalling on a new deal, with United fearing he could be poached.
Europe's elite clubs are looking at snapping-up the England Under-17 World Cup winner, including Barcelona.
But the German giants are leading the charge, as they look to grab the best youngsters from around the world.
Dortmund signed Manchester City youth star Jadon Sancho in the summer in a cut-price £10m deal.
An Old Trafford source said: “There is chatter around the club that Dortmund are the latest side in for Gomes. “He is pals with Jadon Sancho and that could be something that tips the scales on whether he stays or goes.”
Last season he became the youngest player to appear for the Red Devils first team since Duncan Edwards.
He has been at Old Trafford since the age of six, and has come through their prestigious academy ranks.
