Monaco 1 Paris Saint-Germain 2: Edinson Cavani and Neymar penalty help French leaders sink champs

EDINSON CAVANI and Neymar sunk the champions as Paris Saint-Germain moved nine points clear in Ligue 1.
Big-spending PSG's South American strikers shone again as Monaco had to settle for a late consolation from Joao Moutinho's free-kick - deflected in off Kylian Mbappe.
Brazilian Neymar enjoys doubling the PSG lead early in the second period
France 18-year-old Mbappe had a wasteful night on his season's loan from Monaco to PSG.
But the leaders showed why they should regain the crown at a canter.
Uruguyan main man Cavani lifted PSG's neat 19th minute opener after Julian Draxler's through-pass caught Monaco dozing at the back.
Neymar then hit the post after the break before doubling the visitors' lead from the spot on 52 minutes after he was tripped by Malian defender Almamy Toure. Monaco keeper Danijel Subasic look back as PSG striker Edinson Cavani sees his effort go inMonaco's Brazilian centre-back Jemerson hit his own post before Moutinho offered the home side hope when his free-kick ricocheted off Mbappe and in over PSG keeper Alphonse Areola.
And the only disappointing feature for them was the finishing of Mbappe, on his first return to the Stade Louis II ahead of his permanent switch to PSG next summer. Mbappe missed three one-on-ones, whereas Neymar's footwork was often dazzling.
Victory puts unbeaten PSG on 38 points from 14 games, nine clear of Lyon and third-placed Monaco. Marseille are the only other club with even a sniff of the title race, on 28 points, compared to 23 for Claudio Ranieri's fifth-placed Nantes.
Former Manchester United wideman Memphis Depay went into double figures for the season with his double in Lyon's 5-0 rout of Nice.
