Sergio Aguero Stuck in Fitness war for Argentina

ARGENTINA could be on a collision course with Manchester City over Sergio Aguero’s fitness.
The City forward, 29, injured his knee earlier this month which meant he missed the club’s last match against Stoke.
Sergio Aguero is at the centre of a fitness battle between Man City and Argentina
But he has been training with his international team-mates at the City Football Academy ahead of their clash with Italy tonight.
Argentina coach Jorge Sampaoli said Aguero will NOT be ready for that game at the Etihad Stadium.
However they would like to use him against Spain in Madrid on Tuesday night — and will be doing EVERYTHING to make that happen.
City are hoping he stays behind when his team-mates jet out tomorrow night — with key games ahead in the Premier League and Europe. But Sampaoli said: “It will be hard for Aguero to play against Spain but we want to try. It’s worth the effort.
“We’ve spoken to City about him — if there is a substantial improvement he could travel to Madrid and play. “But it’s difficult because of the little time left.  We’ve been talking to City’s doctors, trying to evaluate his situation to see if he can play a part.
“It looks like he’ll be sitting out the first one and we’ll see about the second one.” Aguero should be ready for City’s return to Premier League action at Everton on March 31.
Sampaoli is impressed with Aguero’s fine form for City and wants to pair him with Lionel Messi.
Paulo Dybala and Mauro Icardi are also available but the coach said: “For Aguero, this is a great moment.”
