PSG outcast Hatem Ben Arfa linked with Leicester City following appointment of Claude Puel

LEICESTER boss Claude Puel has indicated his interest to sign Hatem Ben Arfa, according to reports.
The Frenchman has fallen out of favour under the management of Unai Emery at PSG. Puel, who succeeded Craig Shakespeare at Leicester on Wednesday, is already considering a January switch for the 30-year-old, according to SportWitness.
Ben Arfa played under the management of Puel during his spell with French side Niceand the two have remained in contact.
A source close to them both stated: "They're very close.
"Claude never hid his disappointment at how Hatem was used at PSG and that he'd like to work with him again." A source close to Puel said: "First Claude needs to find his bearings, try to redress Leicester's situation and only then will he think about transfers.
"But he likes Hatem, that isn't new."
After scoring 18 goals in 37 outings during a stellar season with Nice, he completed a switch to PSG.
However, he has since only featured nine times for the French giants and was recently demoted to the reserves. The former Newcastle midfielder remains under contract until the end of the season at Parc des Prince.
But he will be free to negotiate a new deal with other clubs in January.
Following a sluggish start to the season for the Foxes, the former Premier League champions have called the former Southampton boss in to take the reigns.
