Arsene Wenger’s side concluded their Europa League group matches with a 6-0 win over Bate Borisov on Thursday night.
Though the Gunners had already sealed the win in their group after winning their opening three games in Europe’s second-tier tournament.
With all the group games played 16 potential candidates have been named as Arsenal’s opponent in the next round.
With the top spot in the group sealed, Arsenal move on to the round of 32 in a seeded position.
The likes of Villarreal, Milan, Lazio and Red Bull Salzburg will also be seeded having won their groups as well as the top four teams that dropped from the Champions League after finishing their groups third. The seeded teams will face an unseeded team which is made up of the 12 group runners up from the Europa League and the final four teams to drop down from the Champions League.
Arsenal’s hopes of moving on to the round of 16 will face a tough test depending on their draw.
Borussia Dortmund is a possible opposition for the only English team left in the competition after they entered unseeded as the final team to drop down.
Napoli, Spartak Moscow and Celtic were the three teams just ahead of Dortmund and will enter the competition unseeded and potential opposition for Arsenal. Runners up from the Europa League group stage include Marseille, Lyon, Astana, AEK Athens and OGC Nice.
Arsenal’s fate will be revealed on Monday when the draw takes place at the Uefa headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland starting at 12pm UK time.
