Di Maria stuts his accustomed pose after scoring
Di Maria powered in a 28th minute header after Pastore played Kylian Mbappe in down the right of penalty area.
The cross was perfect for Argentine striker Di Maria to find then net. Runaway Ligue 1 leaders PSG, minus Neymar who was not available as the Brazilian ace served a one-match ban, went further ahead four minutes after the break through Pastore.
A good interception from Marco Verratti allowed Edinson Cavani to tee up Di Maria, who rolled the ball to Pastore in space and he duly rifled the ball into the bottom corner. Mbpappe’s strike came right at the end. The entire Lille team was caught upfield and no one could catch him as he raced into the danger zone and rolled the ball into an empty net.
Lille had struggled to make any impression, and when Kevin Malcuit threatened along the right wing, Giovani Lo Celso was across to save the day.
The visitors, desperate to stay out of the relegation zone, finally got their first shot on target with 10 minutes to go. But it was too close to Alphonse Areola, who stooped to claim the ball comfortably.
The a good Lille corner was met by Junior Alonso near the penalty spot, but he can’t keep his header down.
Finally El Ghazi found himself inside the right of the box with plenty of time to pick his spot.
